The ECH Board of Directors voted to impose the Hospital's Last, Best and Final Offer (LBF). Each provision in the LBF has a specific implementation date. The LBF is on the website under ANNOUNCEMENTS. The PRN Executive Board and Negotiating Committee met to discuss what to do next.

Did you read the articles in the Mountain View Voice and the Los Altos Town Crier? Each newspaper interviewed Pat Briggs (PRN) and staff nurses as well as representatives from the Hospital and the ECH BOD.

PRN has decided we are going to survey the membership regarding ranking the issues included in the LBF and whether we will do informational picketing. It was decided we will send out the survey after the first of the new year.

The members can take action now by writing letters to the editor at the Voice, Town Crier, Mercury News and the Palo Alto Daily News. You can express your reaction to the ECH BOD decision, the offer itself, the effect on nurses' morale and anything else. The more voices heard by the community the better.
